14) Viewing Files

Most criminal and civil files are public records and may be viewed in the clerk's office during office hours, unless they have been ordered sealed by the court. Juvenile records are closed to the public. A driver's license or photo ID is required as a deposit to view a record. Because storage space is limited, most closed files are located off site. Requests to view files located off site should be made at least two weeks in advance.
