  • What additional information do I need?

    Additional information on petitions for rehearing:

    • The Court of Appeal retains jurisdiction for 30 days from the filing of its opinion. If it fails to act on the petition within the 30-day period, the petition will be deemed denied under Cal. Rules of Court, rules 8.264(b)(1) and 8.268(c). View all Rules of Court.
    • After the Court of Appeal loses jurisdiction, a petition for review may be filed in the California Supreme Court (See Cal. Rules of Court 8.500). View all Rules of Court.
