Cum laude UCLA 1972, B.A. in political science. Summa cum laude Loyola Law School 1977, J.D.
LAW PRACTICE:
Tax and business law; O'Melveny & Myers, Los Angeles and Newport Beach; Gray, Cary Ames & Frye, San Diego. Admitted to the California Bar in 1977, U.S. District Court, Central District of California, in 1979, U.S. Tax Court in 1980, U.S. District Court, Southern District of California, in 1981, and U.S. Court of Claims in 1981. Certified as a Specialist in Taxation Law in 1984.
JUDICIAL POSITIONS:
Antelope Municipal Court, 1984; Los Angeles Superior Court, 1987; Court of Appeal, Second District, Division Five, 1990. Author of over 1,520 opinions, more than 97 of which have been published.
ACTIVITIES:
Frequent lecturer at educational programs for judges and attorneys; active in the administration of the judicial system; judge of various law school moot court competitions; and consultant for continuing legal education publications.
