Oral Argument at Law Schools

The Second District Court of Appeal periodically holds special oral argument sessions at law schools in the Los Angeles area. The visits are designed to introduce first-year law students to the appellate court system. Case summaries are prepared by the Court and distributed before oral argument.

So far the Second Appellate District has held special sessions at Loyola Law School, University of Southern California, Gould School of Law, University of California Los Angeles and Southwestern Law School.

The last three special oral argument sessions were held by Division Four of the Second District Court of Appeal on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at Southwestern School of Law, by Division Eight of the Second District Court of Appeal on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at University of Southern California, Gould School of Law and by Division Six of the Second District Court of Appeal on March 29, 2007 at Pepperdine University School of Law.
