




1. Where is the notice of appeal filed?
The notice of appeal is filed in the superior court and must be accompanied by a $655 filing fee. A check should be made payable to the Clerk of the Court of Appeal for this amount. (Rule 8.100(b)(1).) A deposit of $100 made payable to Clerk of the Superior Court is also required. (Government Code, section 68926.1; rule 8.100(b)(2).) If the appellant is indigent, payment of the filing fee may be waived. (Rules 3.50-3.63.) The locations and addresses where to file a notice of appeal are listed below.
