Delinquency-Related CFCC Programs
|
Several CFCC programs
contribute to juvenile delinquency projects or have a component involving
delinquency. Here is a brief description and a link to those programs.
California
Juvenile Statistical Abstract
The California Juvenile Statistical Abstract is a compilation of statewide
data about children and families involved in the courts and with related
institutions available on the Internet.
Collaborative
Justice Courts
Collaborative justice courts-also known as problem-solving courts-promote
accountability by combining judicial supervision with rehabilitation services
that are rigorously monitored and focused on recovery.
Judicial
Review and Technical Assistance (JRTA)
The program consists of three major projects: (1) Title IVE Site Visits,
(2) the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) Project, and (3) the Permanency
Project. All three provide technical assistance, training, and resources
to California courts and stakeholders in the areas of child dependency
and delinquency.
Research
Grant Program
The program generates and distributes research-based information that
has promise for informing the work of family and juvenile courts in California
and nationwide. The Administrative Office of the Courts uses this research
information in designing service protocols, service standards, and educational
programs.
Unified
Courts for Families Project
The project provides a grant to enable the courts to implement various
strategies for coordination and unification of family and juvenile proceedings,
including those matters involving members of the same family with cases
on multiple court calendars.
The
Probation Services Task Force
The primary purpose of the task force was to assess programs, services,
organizational structures, and funding related to probation services provided
by counties to the courts, probationers, and the general public. The task
force identified, analyzed, and prepared a report of findings and recommendations
for presentation to the Judicial Council, CSAC, the Governor, and the
Legislature. The task force completed its term on June 30, 2003.
