| Introduction and Mission Statement The
purpose of the Court and Community Collaboration project, sponsored by the Judicial
Council of California, is to improve the courts' ability to maximize resources, meet
increasing demands and improve public confidence. The project's two-part approach
emphasizes the establishment of Community-Focused Court
Planning in California's trial courts and the design and
implementation of Court Community Outreach
programs at the local level.
