Prometric, Inc. Named as California Court Interpreter Exam Administrator

After a competitive bidding process, the AOC has awarded Prometric Inc. the contract for the 2009 administration of court interpreter certification and registration exams. See the Exam Information page for more information.

Court Interpreter Opt Out Guidelines (PDF) (March 2009)
An "Opt Out" is an independent court interpreter who elected not to become a court employee during the specific 2003-2004 window of time provided to certain court interpreters for making this decision, following the enactment of SB371 and SB 818.

Trial Court Interpreters Program Expenditure Report for Fiscal Year 2007-08: Report to Legislature (PDF) (February 2009)
The Administrative Office of the Courts has submitted to the Legislature the annual report on expenditures for court interpreters. The Budget Act of 2007 (Stats. 2007, ch. 171), item 0250-101-0932 mandates this report be submitted to the Legislature.
