California Courts Technology Center (CCTC)
In 2003 the judicial branch began operating the centralized California Courts Technology Center (CCTC), which provides comprehensive information technology support for a growing number of trial courts. It hosts and supports interim certified case management systems; runs a help desk service; and provides e-mail, network, security, and disaster recovery services.

Phoenix Project
The Phoenix Project is a statewide technology initiative that provides transition assistance to the courts moving from county stewardship to the judicial branch's financial and human resources systems.

Phoenix Project: Supreme Court Appointed Counsel System
Another component of the Phoenix Project is the Supreme Court Appointed Counsel System (SCACS), which is designed to automate case management and payment process functions of court-appointed counsel programs for the Supreme Court's capital cases.
