CAPS and Traffic Violator Fees Report (PDF, 888 KB)
The CAPs and Traffic Violator Fees report was submitted to the Legislature in June 2005 pursuant to Vehicle Code Section 11205.4.The report includes information about how courts work with traffic violator schools, court-approved programs of traffic safety instruction, and court assistance programs and the fees charged traffic violators to fund these programs. The report also addresses possible approaches to establishing a fiscal policy for the "CAP fee" charged pursuant to Vehicle Code section 11205(m).
