Court Improvement Reassessment Data Collection Services

The Court Improvement Reassessment (“Reassessment”) is a statewide study of the juvenile dependency (child abuse and neglect) courts in California, to be completed by June 30, 2005. The study consists of statewide surveys of juvenile court judicial officers, court executive officers, child welfare services directors, and attorneys; site visits to juvenile courts in six counties for data collection, focus groups and interviews; and a review of juvenile court law in comparison to federal law and national recommended practices.

The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) seeks the services of a consultant with expertise in survey research and data collection, preferably in a court setting to assist AOC research and legal staff in the completion of certain Reassessment activities. The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to secure a contract to perform data collection tasks for the Reassessment.

Proposals must be received by 1 p.m. on October 15, 2004.
