Help With a Contested Case for Divorce, Legal Separation, or Annulment

If you or your spouse or domestic partner has filed a petition and the other party has filed a response, you are involved in a contested case even if you agree on all your issues. This means that it will take both of you to complete the case and get a judgment.

If you are in a contested case, you may want to try mediation or another form of dispute resolution. This can be easier and less expensive if you and your spouse or domestic partner find that you can reach an agreement on all of your issues. Or you may want to find a family law lawyer to help you. This is particularly true if you and your spouse or domestic partner can't agree on how your case should be handled. Click here for help finding a lawyer.
