Spanish/Espaņol

What happens before I go to court?

  1. A Court Investigator (opens in new window) will interview you and the child. If the child's parents are alive and available, the investigator may interview them, too.
  2. The investigator will make a recommendation to the judge.
  3. There will be a court hearing and the judge will review your case and decide if you can be the guardian.
