What if I don't have enough money to pay the filing fee?

If you cannot afford the filing fees, you can ask the court for a Fee Waiver. You can get the Fee Waiver forms at your courthouse, or download and print the forms now:

If the court approves your Application for Fee Waiver, you won't have to pay the fees. But, if you win your lawsuit and collect money, the court may ask you to pay back the waived fees.
